If you have registered your child as a Mini Mate, Sea Dog or Middle School Crew at the School's Out Summer Program for this upcoming summer, you will need to fill out additional paperwork. Our start date of July 1st is quickly approaching and I still need to get paperwork in order for the town. I will need the following papers BEFORE YOUR CHILD/REN CAN ATTEND CAMP:

Fall 2012 Community Outreach by Get Youth Moving, LLC
Fall 2012 has been a busy time for Get Youth Moving! I am running the movement program for the Redbirds and Bluebirds classes again at Temple Emanuel in Andover once a month. I also began running the weekly movement classes for the Andover Country Day Preschool which moved over to the Greek Church in September. Mornings have been filled with fun activities and games to get all of those kids moving!
I just lead the movement activities for the Newcomers and Neighbors of the Andovers on Wednesday, November 14. It was great to meet some new families and see some familiar faces. I hope to see some of these children in my upcoming classes this Winter.
I will also be at both High Plain Elementary and St. Augustine School in November for their Community Read Along programs.

Michelle Doucette, owner/coach
I have been working in the recreation field for the past 24 years in Andover and I have seen a growing public health concern: childhood obesity. The playing fields and neighborhood backyards are losing kids to the lure of the TV and video games. Family dinners are being held at the drive-thru in the SUV. The idea of outdoor classrooms and hands-on learning has been eclipsed by the computer.
I created Get Youth Moving, LLC to “get youth moving” towards strengthening themselves physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually and creatively through a variety of classes.
